Electro/acoustic:

I can do a full evening performing my own songs ( see Video and Music pages ) including some tasteful folk/blues, jazz and standards. I use a looper pedal so I can play lead guitar and flute solos in real time.

I like to work with my brother Pete Hartley a fantastic electric or acoustic violinist, Pete’s ex Barbara Thompson’s Paraphernalia with legendary drummer Jon Hiseman; Phil Bond, a fantastic keyboards/accordion player who plays with The Dylan Project with Dave Pegg and Jerry Conway of Fairport Convention and Steve Gibbons. Phil has played with everyone from Del Shannon to Fairport. Tom Hill - bass, who’s played with Frank Sinatra, Art Farmer etc, and Miles Levin - drums - son of legendary drummer Tony Levin. You can here this line up on my CD ‘Changing Light.’

Irish:

I can play a full evening of Irish songs and music solo or with my brother Pete on violin and mandolin. I play guitar, banjo and flute for Irish gigs. We can play a range of well loved Irish music from jigs and reels, Riverdance tunes, to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Galway Girl’ etc/

Covers:

I can also do a full evening of 50’s - 80’s music with good quality backing tracks for a full sound - I play electric guitar for this.

Flute:

Education:

I spent 15 years as Music Teacher in a school for Autism in Surrey and I’m available for Education projects such as day or half/day workshops for special and mainstream pupils and staff training.
