Bernie Hartley is a very experienced and much travelled singer-songwriter/musician who originates from Birmingham and now lives in Hebden Bridge, UK.
“His amazing songs are on the borders of jazz. rock, and folk. His inventive acoustic guitar style and complex lyrics make demands on an audience like few performers today, but it’s well worth the effort. We are proud to present his highly original talent at the festival.” Mick Hale.
Bernie played in the original ‘Touchstone’ with songwriter Tom Martin. He’s also fronted ‘Head Over Heels’ ‘Mosaic’ ‘Bernie Hartley Band’ and played all over Europe and the UK at festivals, and clubs.
“The show opened with a highly entertaining and strikingly different set from singer/songwriter Bernie Hartley. He has a distinctive, almost Latin-American style of guitar playing and combines that with an unusual and strong voice….. I could have listened to his set, particularly the blues numbers, all night.” Huddersfield Examiner.
